The Future: A Look Ahead

Chevy Volt OK, we all know gas prices are continuing to rise and we we’re all sick and tired of it. That’s a given. So when will technology come to the rescue and save us from these record-breaking gas prices? Well, set for 2010, the chevy ‘Volt’ should be able to help us out with this dilemma as it will run off of high powered batteries that will be rechargable. The distance on the new concept car will be limited to approx. 40 miles, enough to get three-fourths of the working population to work. The cool thing about this car is that it can utilize multiple fuel sources: electricity, gas, and bio-diesel. So for most people, commuting to work wouldn’t cost them a thing (other than taking time to find a place to plug in the car). No word yet on the pricing; hopefully it will be affordable…

Sounds like a hybrid car you can plug in. Wonder why it took ‘em so long to think of it.

Finally - a hybrid car that’s good looking! (No offense, Prius!) :)
